
While I don't love using the root word "sick" when discussing ways to stay healthy (because the Universe will hear "sick" not "healthy" and manifesting our desires should always be in a positive declaration form!),
I'm meeting you where you are, and you all want to know:
"How do I avoid getting sick during sick season?"
What makes me an expert on answering this question?
My children, my husband, and I have successfully handled every single respiratory illness, crummy fever, sore throat, you name it---at home, without medical intervention, and without excessive suffering.
So I put together in one 12 page document ALL the things I do to support my family's health fearlessly and effectively all year round.
I will open with my disclaimer: I am NOT an MD, nor a certified naturopath/homeopath/herbalist. I AM a qualified HTMA practitioner, I hold a master's degree in Applied Health Psychology, and have been a health and fitness professional for over 25 years.
I have had zero conventional medical training. I am simply an eternal student of natural healing. Of self-healing. I have successfully healed myself and my family of every physical ailment that has entered our lives without the assistance of a medical provider.
Any advice or suggestions you take from me are purely at your own risk and should always be discussed with your regular medical provider. I can only proclaim my truth, which is as of the writing of this sentence, this: my kids have NEVER needed a medical intervention, doctor's visit, antibiotics, Tylenol or fever reducer, OTC cough medicine, etc. EVERYTHING we have supplemented with to reverse illness has been done with nutraceuticals, herbs, and homeopathy. I have personal not utilized any medical intervention (including vaccinations) in over 21 years.
So what's in the secret sauce in our family that has kept us out of doctor's offices and recovering optimally at home when illness rears its ugly head?
In short, the recipe includes:
-> A total shift in mindset, rooted firmly in faith in your body's innate ability to heal.
-> Acknowledging the physical influences that need to be in alignment with healing, which includes, diet, vitamin/mineral/herbal
support, and rest.
-> Homeopathy! This is not a catch-all for all things alternative health, it's a very specific system of energetic healing utilizing carefully selected remedies matched to symptoms. We've been using this so long it has amplified our vital life force so we naturally recover more quickly in general.
-> Purifying the environment. If the terrain is compromised because the above has not been committed to for a long enough time, then protecting ourselves from germs can help reduce your chances of being further compromised and vulnerable to infection.
-> Referring out when necessary! Sometimes you need extra support if things don't turn around quickly enough. For me, that has yet to happen for acute illness! (except the time my won was a brand new infant and his temperature rose above 101. I called my midwife who reassured me that rest and breastfeeding would be enough for the time being. With homeopathic support he was recovered the next morning.)

This really only scratches the surface, though. I inlcuded the basics, but every body requires different support under different circumstances.
